Research and planning-costume and props list for film poster and magazine

Magazine cover

Casual clothing for the main character to wear on the magazine cover- could be a black leather jacket, and dark jeans. The dark clothes will be appreciated as it fits in with the colour scheme used on my magazine. Also I chose to use a leather jacket as it is quite conventional for thriller and action films.

casual shoes or converse/sneakers for main character to wear. These will be a dark colour also and suit well with the jacket and jeans

Will also be using a light set of clothing-possibly white


 

Film Poster

Casual clothing for the main character to wear on the film poster- could be brown or black jacket and dark jeans as shown in image above. The dark clothing here represents the bad side of the character and shows him to be a bit of a villain. 

checked shirt-lighter colour. This lighter clothing shows the god and innocent side of the main character and having both these conflicting messages on the poster should leave the audience undecided as to whether or not he is a bad character or not. 

light coloured trousers- This lighter colour trouser represents the good side of the character and contradicts the darker clothing previously used.

 

 

Blood or ketchup to create blood for the killing scenes and to put on the girl for the photo to make it realistic.

 

A fake knife to lay next to the girl for the photo

Cost/expense

leather jacket- we may borrow this from one of the cast members so get a cheap one from a charity shop

Black trousers- we will be using one that belongs to our actor

Black converse -I have converse shoes that we can use

Brown jacket-Borrow off cast member or buy a cheap one

light checkered shirt- one of my friends has one of these so I will be asking to borrow this from him

light coloured trousers- borrow off my cast member

blood-ketchup-will buy £1-2

A fake knife-borrow off my partner nyle
